Startups are challenging to say the least. After creating my own startup, Student to Student, I’ve realized that a startup is a lot like raising a child. It’s a lot of hard work and takes a lot of time and energy, but at the end of the day it’s also very rewarding. I also know how hard it is to invite someone else to take care of your baby. That’s why you need someone, like me, who is willing to tackle problems that are both challenging and outside my comfort zone. No task is too small when it comes to making sure your baby will thrive!
Furthermore, I had the opportunity to work with some of the most talented and passionate student leaders as the Head of Business Development at Tech@NYU. This experience has furthered my understanding of collaboration and what it’s like to work within a flat organizational structure. I believe my unique background allows me to see the world and problems through a unique lens that helps me glean insights into human-centered problems. I was recently asked, “What do you want out of your career?” After some thought, I realized that what I need most is the chance to work with and learn from the most talented people around, an opportunity to create meaningful impact, and a collaborative and challenging work environment. I think Kickstarter fits the bill, which is why I’m writing this post to you today.
